A lawsuit has been filed in Oakland federal court against a U.S. law firm regarding a data breach. The data breach occurred in March of 2023. The allegation is that the firm did not properly and timely notify the alleged victims of the breach.
The firm reported the breach to various state regulators in July. The breach included client data believed to be personal information, including names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. The total number of individuals affected is believed to be more than 150,000. For more information about this case, check out this link to the article from Reuters.
