New York bill A.B. 8906, referred to the state labor committee, would provide legal protection to employees subjected to abusive treatment in the workplace. The significance of this bill is it is designed for those who cannot establish that the behavior was motivated by a protected class: race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, or age.
