The White House has released a new strategy for cybersecurity to help reduce the risks for both people and businesses. The National Security Strategy released a document that outlines a plan to find “a careful balance between defending ourselves against urgent threats today and simultaneously strategically planning for and investing in a resilient future.”
The plan features five pillars and takes a more offensive stance to try and disrupt any threats while also building a stronger future. President Biden stated they want to favor long-term investment in cybersecurity and new technologies. This plan is the first step in doing so.
