During the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home became the new normal. Now with many people returning to the office, employers are adopting a hybrid work model, according to a recent Insurance Business Magazine article.
A hybrid model allows flexibility for employees to work from home and at the office as needed. A hybrid model can actually benefit employers as it’s been shown to increase employee productivity and happiness. It can also help cut down on operating costs and improve employee health and safety.
There are also some negatives, however, such as cybersecurity risks if the business is not using a secure network and employees not being properly trained on safety when they are in the office. Employers can identify and negate these risks by ensuring their risk management plans and insurance plans have the proper coverages built into them.
Have questions about if your business is covered as it transitions to a hybrid work model? AdvoCap Insurance is happy to answer them.
